April 19, 2005General introduction to copyright explaining international agreements such as TRIPS and the Berne Convention and specific UK legislation. Terms defined by law (including ‘copying’), length of copyright, and case law that affects the origingal legislation were discussed, as well as what qualifies for copyright and copying for judicial purposes. The issue of copying within the electronic environment was raised and the lack of specific legislation in many areas was discussed.

Consider a form to record judicial copying (distinct from commercial and fair dealing).
